1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.
2 Post appointment scrutiny session with the interim Chair, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
2.1 The Committee received evidence from Emrys Elias, interim Chair of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
2.2 Mr Elias agreed to provide further information on how he intends to improve information sharing and communication with patients, and how he will improve services for the local population in the Cwm Taf region, especially those in the hardest to reach, and less fit and less healthy groups.
3 Health and social care workforce: evidence session with Health Education and Improvement Wales and Social Care Wales
3.1 The Committee received evidence from Health Education and Improvement Wales and Social Care Wales on the health and social care workforce.
3.2 Health Education and Improvement Wales and Social Care Wales agreed to provide a briefing paper to the Committee on the We Care recruitment campaign, along with details of the national resources made available through the strategy to support health and social care staff wellbeing.

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence received and agreed to write to Emrys Elias and to the Minister for Health and Social Services to seek additional information on a number of points.
7 Health and social care workforce: consideration of evidence
7.1 The Committee considered the evidence received and agreed to write to Health Education and Improvement Wales, Social Care Wales, Digital Health and Care Wales and relevant trade unions to seek additional information on a number of points.
8 Legislative Consent Memorandum on the Health and Care Bill: consideration of written evidence
8.1 The Committee considered the written evidence received and noted that the Business Committee had indicated that it intended to extend the reporting deadline. The Committee agreed that should the extension be sufficient to allow time to seek further evidence, it would write to the Minister for Health and Social Services to request additional information.
9 COVID-19 recovery
9.1 The Committee agreed to publish the notes of issues discussed on the Committee’s webpage, and to share the notes with the Minister for Health and Social Services.
